Are there any guidelines for using raised foil in my business card design? Is there anything I should avoid?

When adding raised foil to your business card design, we recommend keeping the following points in mind: Use a minimum 10 pt font size to prevent blending or smudging between letters. Avoid using fonts that are extremely thin or the ones that have very small spaces in between (or even inside) letters. These may not give you the crispest printing results> Avoid adding foil to very fine details or double-lined borders. These might smudge when being printed and affect the clarity and precision of your overall design. Make sure all foil-printed parts remain fully within the design safety area for proper printing and cutting of your cards.

Disappointing with crooked outline and weird color outline

I ordered from Vistaprint a few times and was happy with previous orders but this time was a disappointment. Firstly, the order did not arrive on time even though I paid for priority delivery. Secondly, the cards themselves are of poor quality, the white outline is crooked for most of the cards and there is a different color block on the gold foil part. Can someone from Vista contact me about correcting this? This batch of name cards are not usable for me...

We appreciate your feedback on the Foil Name Cards and apologize that the cards arrived later than expected, the outline was misaligned and the color on the foil is different. Please rest assured that this isn't typical. Regarding the delayed delivery, our record shows our customer support team was helpful in providing a resolution for that issue. Upon reviewing the design, we found that the white border was on the safe margin line for printing. When this occurs, it may cause misalignment during printing. It is thus recommended to keep important details within that line. We have edited the design and processed a free replacement for the cards. The order number will remain the same as the original order, and you can track the status of the replacement by going to your Order History under My Account. We trust this will be helpful to you.

area for the foil finish. You can edit this area within our design studio to
ensure it suits your style preferences. It’s important to note that this finish
is only available for the front of your card design.

However, please note that you can select only one foil colour at a time.

Not at the moment. Currently, our foil printing process only allows us to offer single-sided foil printing. However, you can still add a standard printed backside for an additional cost.
