Why choose linen?
Linen stock features a unique, woven surface that you can both see and feel. Because it is uncoated, it has a matte finish that is very easy to write on. This makes it a popular choice for high-end stationery and traditional brand styles.
Tips for your design
Keep it simple: This textured stock works best with minimalist layouts and text-based designs. The weave of the paper adds its own visual interest, so you don't need a complex design to make an impression.
Photo note: We don't recommend using this paper for detailed photos of people. The woven texture can break up fine details and reduce the clarity of the image.
Color and ink: Like our other uncoated papers, linen is quite absorbent. Large areas of dark ink may appear slightly more muted, which actually helps enhance that "vintage" or "letterpress" look many customers love.
A tactile alternative: If you love the idea of texture but want something more organic and less "uniform," you might also like our natural textured paper.
